Treasure Valley Harmonics
At Beyond the Books, we believe that learning music and collaborating with others is essential for a child’s brain development. After realizing the need for more accessible music programs in our community, the Treasure Valley Harmonics was born! Participating in an orchestra not only nurtures musical talent but also builds critical thinking, communication skills, and teamwork. Our orchestras offer a supportive environment where students of all levels can come together, learn, and grow while having fun along the way. Overature Orchestra
Our Overture Orchestra is designed especially for brand-new beginners, ages 8-18! We welcome all young musicians to pick up a stringed instrument and join the fun. In this supportive and encouraging environment, students will build a strong musical foundation by learning music theory, note reading, and proper playing posture. Throughout the season, they’ll have the opportunity to showcase their progress as a group and individually in our performances!

Encore Orchestra
Our Encore Orchestra is a beginning-intermediate group designed for young musicians who have been playing their instrument for 1 year+. This ensemble offers exciting opportunities for students to advance their skills while continuing to have fun making music together. In addition to learning more complex rhythms, music, and key signatures, members of the Encore Orchestra will also have the chance to participate in performances! It’s the perfect next step for growing musicians ready to take their playing to the next level!

Virtuoso
Chamber Ensemble
Our Virtuoso Chamber Ensemble is the most advanced group within Treasure Valley Harmonics, designed for dedicated young musicians who have been playing their instrument for several years and are committed to furthering their skills. We encourage anyone with a passion for music and a desire to grow to join this group! This ensemble is ideal for students who take private lessons and demonstrate a high level of musical proficiency. In the Virtuoso Chamber Ensemble, members will continue to grow through challenging repertoire, advanced techniques, and refined musical interpretation. With more opportunities to perform and volunteer in the community, the Virtuoso Chamber Ensemble represents the pinnacle of musical achievement within our program.
